My favourites so far..

The latest pages in my sketchbook are my favourite, I always have a favourite page in a sketchbook and this is mine at the moment. Though maybe because it looks like someone else's work, which is usually better than my own in art-I'm too neat usually. Cutting out and sticking on the tissue paper for the clothes is very fiddly, and I might actually use up the 15 hours I have if i do all the people that way...

More figures

Outside the sketchbook, A3 sized.. ish. Tried doing some bigger ones and it turns out they do work, so will have to be asking melly for a lot of pictures on exam day(s) for A3 photocopies of my photos for stitching into for my final piece.

Gone back to figures for my A2 art exam project. I like these so much more than doing the flowers, though could just have got bored of them as I was doing it for so long.

I have photoshop! For another 3 weeks anyway, managed to download a trial just for this purpose. I quite like it though, and I'm only just getting used to it, so might have to get it. Also could turn out useful next year.
This is attempts at 'marketing' for my product, making posters or magazine spreads etc. At least, that's what I think I'm supposed to be doing...

The dress. At last.

This is the finished dress, on my client. It fits! And she likes it. Still got a lot of paperwork to do, and no time in which to do it, but so glad the dress is finally finished, had to make one too many adjustments to it, taking up too much time. I like cutting and making it, but all the hemming and zipping and edging and making it fit... But yes, happy with it now.

A sort of final design for the dress I'm making ... tis one of the design developments really. Nearly got it all made, have a lot of hemming to do. Then even more paperwork, we're all weeks behind because of the teacher fandango. (The one we have now is a bit useless) and we have to be finished a week on friday. I'll get there though, well, I have to.

Ohh dear. Textiles teacher has been away around a month now, and strange cover lady hs decided she will in fct have to tell us what to do next and what we need to write on which page etc. I have decided to go ahead and make the final dress, then backtrack and do the pages on final design, layplan, pattern drafting and production plan.
Spent 3 hours straight today in the textiles room, and cut out all the pieces in satin, lace, and lining fabric, and also stitched the main bodice together, so feel I have achieved something today..thing is, I now want to keep the dress, not let my client have it.
